Waterloo Content Management System (WCMS) support and help

About this Service

The Waterloo Content Management System (WCMS) is the centrally supported web site creation and maintenance tool at the university. It hosts Faculty of Arts web sites for departments, schools and research.

The Arts Computing Office (ACO) can provide consultation on new and existing Waterloo Content Management System (WCMS) web sites in the Faculty of Arts, including:

  • Assistance with departmental WCMS sites and accessibility

  • Consulting and web services for research and other needs

  • Migration from old web services to UW supported web services

Assistance available may vary based on the web site and Arts Computing Office (ACO) resources.

ACO does not provide web site design or maintenance. Website content maintenance is the responsibility of the department/individual.

Training and access

Permission to edit/manage a WCMS web site can be granted only after completing WCMS training available through IST's Skills for the Electronic Workplace (ITPD) program.
