The Faculty of Arts acknowledges that we live and work on the traditional territory of ‎the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples.     Graduate students from English, Fine Arts, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Theological Studies and Sociology convened Friday, March 6th for the annual Arts Three Minute Thesis (3MT) heat. Audience members learned about the engaging and illuminating graduate research happening in the Faculty of Arts firsthand from many of our impressive graduate students.

    The Master of Public Service (MPS) program hosted the second annual Policy Datafest last week with more than 70 graduate students digging into public datasets to extract meaningful narratives and recommend policies for positive change.

    A free tool that will enable game developers to accurately evaluate the experience of video game players has been launched by researchers at the University of Waterloo.

    The Player Experience Inventory (PXI) allows game designers to understand how choices like game rules or sound effects contribute to a player’s immersion in a game or curiosity in the story of a game.
