Peter Braid was elected Member of Parliament for Kitchener-Waterloo in October, 2008, and re-elected on May 2, 2011.  He was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure and Communities on September 19, 2013.

Lisa Moore is a two-time Giller Prize nominee, for her novels Caught and
Alligator; her novel February was long listed for the Man Booker Prize. She has done animation work, written for television and radio, and has also written art criticism.

This year's Reading Series at St Jerome's is on the theme of Literartistry,
showcasing literature's dance with other artistic media.

All readings are free and open to the public.
