Marking the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, German filmmakers Marc and Christopher Bauder mounted a public art installation of 8,000 lights along 15 kilometres of the former Wall site that separated East from West.

 The project was titled Border of Lights (Lichtgrenze).

Marc Bauder will be at the University of Waterloo on May 29 as part of the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies’ annual conference. He’ll talk about how he and his brother conceived and executed the public art installation. The presentation will be in English, and all are welcome. Simply come to HH2107 at 3:30 p.m.
