Honouring Feridun Hamdullahpur, President Emeritus of the University of Waterloo
The Faculty of Arts is very pleased to present Dr. Rashid Khalidi, Edward Said Professor of Modern Arab Studies in the History Department at Columbia University, for this special lecture and panel discussion in support of Palestinian studies at the University of Waterloo.
Join us in remembering and demanding justice for University of Waterloo alumna, Sarah Inam (MA ’07), who lost her life to intimate partner violence.
A brilliant student, Sarah completed both her undergraduate (2005) and graduate (2007) degrees in Economics from Waterloo and went on to have a successful international career in public policy and economic development.
Brew some coffee and join the conversation...
Have you ever wondered what careers you can secure with an Arts degree apart from those in industries more commonly associated with the Faculty of Arts, such as marketing, banking or in non-profit? Have you considered that working in government could mean working in various sectors? Or that there might be a place for you in the energy sector?
Join the celebration of a decade of achievement at the Stratford School of Interaction Design and Business. Start your day with professional development sessions from Sun Life, Velocity, Google, and leaders in innovation and new business. Connect with students and see their work in the project showcase, and join us for a lunchtime celebration.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
