The University of Waterloo Department of Fine Arts is proud to welcome visitors to their second annual Open House and MFA Open Studios featuring work by first and second year graduate candidates Lisa Birke, Nicholas Breton, Megan Green, Natalie Hunter, Ian McMurrich, Jessica Massard, Amanda Rhodenizer and Srdjan Segan.
In collaboration with the University of Waterloo Art Gallery, University of Waterloo Fine Arts is also proud to present an artist panel discussion in response to the NetherMind exhibition currently on display at the gallery. Moderated by Gordon Hatt, the panel will feature presentations by John Dickson, Mary Catherine Newcomb, Lyla Rye and Reinhard Reitzenstein. The panel will consider the importance of site, camaraderie and dark humour–key aspects that have united the collective throughout their eleven year history. The panel will be followed by a closing reception supported by the City of Waterloo.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River.
