Talk on Hacker Spaces

Join the Department of English Language and Literature for the first Critical Media Lab Salon of the winter term, featuring a casual talk by Profressor Steve Quilley from the Department of Environmental Studies.

Professor Quilley will discuss his collaborative research project, which tests the capacity of community-based hacking spaces and maker projects to engage ordinary people, unpick the psycho-cultural attractions of consumerism, change behaviour and transform local economies.
