Visual Culture program for undergraduates

New interdisciplinary program

The global reach of media industries today challenge us to comprehend how the visual arts—whether screen, performance, painting, design, and architecture—have formed and are changing world cultures and societies.

The Faculty of Arts' newest interdisciplinary program investigates the history and theory of spatial media and the performance of images, recognizing the rapidly growing international contexts and vastly diverse cultures of spectatorship.

Arts welcomes Douglas Peers, our new dean

Douglas Peers.

The Faculty of Arts is very pleased to welcome our new dean, Douglas Peers. While July marked the official start of Dr. Peers’ tenure as the 15th Dean of Arts, he was spotted on campus numerous times in the months leading up to summer – attending meetings and planning for the Faculty’s future.
