Global Governance students gain crucial research experience with Global Affairs Canada

Germanic & Slavic Studies collaborate with Engineering on WE Go.DEsign

How can German and Canadian innovation be combined? Last month 97 high school girls took on that challenge at a two-day cross-cultural engineering design competition, WE Go.DEsign, presented by the Goethe Institut Toronto, UWaterloo Engineering, and the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies (GSS).

Arts student starts conversation about gender binary and gender equality

As part of the University of Waterloo’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Madeline Samms has created a design that uses the gender-neutral symbol as a way to spark conversations on campus.
