With all of the construction on campus, the Arts-Environment garden remains a lush, green sanctuary amongst the concrete and glass. It is one of the best-kept secrets in Arts but work-study student Aneetta Raviraj is doing her best to change that.
“It seems that we are in a transitional moment - individuals and institutions are starting to grapple with the fact that PhD training must be modified in order to remain maximally rewarding and relevant,” says Masa Torbica, PhD candidate in English.
Two celebrated scholars from Waterloo’s Department of History were recently named to the Order of Canada, which recognizes people in all sectors of Canadian society for outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the country.
