From Communications and Public Affairs, University of Waterloo

The Research Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (REAP), is a unique extracurricular program based in the Faculty of Arts, University of Waterloo. Students are paid on a part time basis to think creatively and explore new and existing digital display technologies. Thier goal is to develop new interactive experiences for users -- and then take the applications to market.

The new REAP facility, called Felt Lab, is located in the St. Jacobs offices of partner Quarry Integrated Communications. The Felt Lab is full of the latest equipment, such as Christie Digital MicroTiles, which allow video displays to be stacked and rearranged like Lego, and Apptui, which allows smartphones to become, essentially, remote controls for digital displays.

See REAP in action and hear what REAP founder David Goodwin and some of the students have to say about the program.
