St Jerome's Beyond Borders offers global experience

Tuesday, April 1, 2014

St Jerome's University established the Beyond Borders international volunteer experience in 2005 - and since then has placed over 100 UWaterloo students in countries such as Ukraine, Peru, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Uganda and Kenya.

Beyond Borders is currently recruiting students for the 2014-2015 cohort.

Beyond Borders is an academic and experiential international service-learning opportunity open to any Waterloo student in upper years. The program consists of two terms of on-campus course work and 90-day placement abroad that takes students out of their comfort zone and into the world. Students can use their Beyond Borders international volunteer placement as a co-op work term or as their international experience for the Global Experience Certificate.

More information and applications are available on the Beyond Borders web site. Questions can be emailed to Elissa Cressman.
