Thinking about applying?

If you are thinking about applying, you need to do three things:

  1. Research the exchange destinations and narrow down your top 3 choices.
  2. Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria for the universities you want to apply to.
  3. Check the application deadlines.

Ready to Apply? 

Request a meeting with the Arts International Exchange Coordinator to discuss your plans.  To book an appointment, please email artsinternationalexchange@uwaterloo.ca or stop by the Arts Undergraduate Office (PAS 2439).

After you've met with the Arts International Exchange Coordinator

You will now have been given permission to apply!  

Submit your online application through Waterloo Passport. Be sure to review the Student Guide found on the Waterloo Passport home page for application tips.

After you’ve submitted your application, contact the Global Learning Coordinators to pay your $25 non-refundable application fee. The Global Learning Coordinators are temporarily located in the Student Success Office.  You can make the payment in-person at the Student Success Office in SCH or by telephone, 519-888-4567, ext. 84410. Your application will not be processed until this fee has been received. The payment can be made via debit, credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Also note that should you cancel your application after submitting online, a non-refundable withdrawal fee of $100.00 applies.
