 Typically, you must complete a “set” of courses with ECTS weights totaling 30 ECTS to transfer back 2.5 UW credits. To receive credit for courses on exchange, you need to achieve a passing grade as determined by the partner school’s grading system.   • King's College London (London, England)
  • Lancaster University (Lancaster, Lancashire)
    • Note:  There are differences in credit requirements from one term to the other reflect a difference in term length:
      Fall (Michaelmas) term: 48 UK-CAT or 24 ECTS = 2.5 UW credits OR 22.5 ECTS = 2.0 UW credits
      Spring (Lent)/Summer term: 60-64 UK-CATS or 30-32 ECTS = 2.5 UW credits.
      Spring/Summer students must stay for exam period in June.
  • Newcastle University (Newcastle, England)
    • Note Restricted Courses: Psychology courses are not open to exchange students
  • Swansea University (Swansea, Wales)

  • The University of Warwick (Warwick, England)

    • Note: There are differences in credit requirements from one term to the other reflect a difference in term length:
      Full-year: 120 UK-CATS = 5.0 UW credits
      Fall term: 48 UK-CATS = 2.5 UW credits
      Spring/Summer term: 60 UK-CATS = 2.5 UW credits or 72 UK-CATS = 3.0U W credits.
      Modules (equivalents of Waterloo courses) can be weighted at 12, 15, 24, or 30 CATS, depending on their duration.
      Fall term only exchange students are allowed an assessment method other than a final exam.
      Spring and Summer terms are done as a block, with final exams done in the Summer term.

    • Note Restricted Courses: Courses offered by the School of Design (DESN courses) are only open to exchange students hosted by the School of Design. Must be pursuing a design degree at home university.
