Business professionals around the world recognize the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification as evidence that an individual is familiar with the skills and standards necessary for effective and professional project management.
To achieve the CAPM certification issued by the Project Management Institute, you need to fulfill the following requirements:
- Hold a secondary degree (high school or the the global equivalent)
- Have 23 hours of project management education OR at least 1,500 hours of project experience
- Write the CAPM exam administered by the Project Management Institute
At the University of Waterloo you will gain the 23 hours of project management education needed by pursing an Honours Arts and Business academic plan (ARBUS 200, 300, and 400 are courses built into the program to meet these required hours).
After taking these courses you will then be qualified to write the exam administered by the Project Management Institute.
