Why did you choose the University of Waterloo? I chose the University of Waterloo because of the flexibility it offers in choosing an area of study. Instead of choosing between my passion for economics and my interest in business, I am able to combine them through the university’s unique Honours Arts and Business program.

What do you like most about your program? I liked that first years could choose two prospective majors and were not required to declare their major until the end of the year. By exploring two majors, I was able to study Psychology, something new and exciting, and Economics, something familiar. Rather than rushing into a major, I had more time to decide what path I wanted to take. As a result, when the time came to pick a major, I was more certain about Economics than I had ever been.

Co-op experience/what you like about co-op at Waterloo? I like the co-op program because it offers both experience and monetary benefits. It gives me the opportunity to earn money and gain work experience in-between study terms while I explore a prospective career and figure out what kind of work-setting would suit me best.
