I am pleased to announce that Melanie Will, M.Ed., CPF, will be joining the University on July 12, 2021 in the role of Director, Organizational and Human Development (OHD), leading the learning and development team.  Melanie will be responsible for the strategic vision of OHD and will direct the implementation of employee development strategies and programs to support the University community

New Community of Practice launched!

The Office of the Associate Provost, Human Resources is excited to announce the successful launch of a University wide Continuous Improvement (CI) and Change Management (CM) Community of Practice. To further develop institutional CI/CM expertise, the CoP aims to provide a supportive space for those seeking to learn more about CI and CM or, those who are already working on similar initiatives.

Waterloo takes part in #TakeThatStep, a free mental health support available 24/7 through Wellness Together Canada

Take That First Step Campaign Logo

The University of Waterloo’s Employee & Family Assistance Program provider Homewood Health launched a free program to promote mental health through Wellness Together, a partnership with the Government of Canada.  The goal of this program is to offer emotional and mental support to all Canadians in these difficult times.   As part of this initiative, a new campaign is launching with the message that mental health is a journey.

It's Gold for Waterloo!

The University achieves Gold in Excellence Canada’s Excellence, Innovation and Wellness Standard

The University of Waterloo has achieved Gold certification in Excellence Canada's Excellence, Innovation and Wellness (EIW) program, which recognizes the University for its exceptional organizational and workplace practices. While other Canadian universities have achieved department certification, we are the first university to achieve certification across our entire institution.

Excellence Canada is Going-for-Gold University-Wide

In 2014, the Library piloted the implementation of Excellence Canada’s Excellence, Innovation, and Wellness (EIW) Standard at the Bronze (first) level. Since then, eight units have successfully integrated the EIW Standard at the Bronze or Silver levels:
