DESCRIPTION:Work-Learn (WxL) is the only research unit in the world dedicat
 ed to\nthe study and advancement of work-integrated learning (WIL)\, such 
 as\nco-operative education experiences. Participants in this session will\
 nreceive an introduction to who we are at WxL and how WxL has advanced\nWI
 L at the University of Waterloo and beyond. This session will\ninclude ins
 ights into our recent research projects\, consulting work\,\nand education
  initiatives. As much as possible\, the importance and\nvalue of this work
  will be presented from a variety of lenses – we\naim to highlight how w
 e support all our stakeholders including\nstudents\, faculty\, community a
 nd employee partners\, various levels of\ngovernment\, and the national an
 d international WIL communities. We\nwill share findings and insights on t
 opics such as the faculty\ndifferences that emerged from our Gen Z researc
 h\, accessibility and\naccommodations in WIL for students from equity-dese
 rving groups\, and\nthe role of student-faculty partnerships in enhancing 
 teaching and\nlearning. Additionally\, we will share some of our upcoming 
 education\ninitiatives\, such as our training certificate program that is 
 in\ndevelopment\, geared towards WIL supervisors.
