DESCRIPTION:Claudia Scarlata received her PhD from Padova University\, in 2
 004.\nAfter holding postdoctoral positions at ETH-Zurich (CH) and Caltech\
 ,\nin 2011 she moved to the University of Minnesota\, Twin Cities\, where\
 nshe is currently a Distinguished McKnight professor. Her research\nfocus
  on problems related to the formation and evolution of galaxies.\nShe is i
 nvolved in the upcoming Euclid space mission\, supporting the\nplanning an
 d optimization work for the cosmological surveys. More\nrecently\, her wor
 k has focused on the physical conditions that enable\nthe reionization of 
 the Universe at z>6.
