DESCRIPTION:Scott Tremaine received his BSc degree from McMaster University
  and\nhis PhD degree from Princeton. He has been on the faculty at the\nMa
 ssachusetts Institute of Technology\, the University of Toronto\,\nPrincet
 on University\, and the Institute for Advanced Study. He was the\nfirst Di
 rector of the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics\nfrom 1985 t
 o 1997 and the Chair of the Department of Astrophysical\nSciences of Princ
 eton University from 1998 to 2008.\n\nScott will receive an honorary docto
 rate from the University of\nWaterloo on June 14.
