SUMMARY:WCA-KPL Public Talk - Understanding Galaxy Evolution with Observati
 ons\nand Simulations (Cam Lawlor-Forsyth)
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:Galaxies change and evolve over hundreds of millions of years\,
and\nwhile we can gain clues about their evolution by looking at galaxies
\,\nthis evolution is too slow to watch in real time. However\, by running
\nsimulations of galaxies\, astronomers can unlock this additional\ndimens
ion\, tracking how galaxies form and evolve through time. At this\nmonth's
KPL astronomy talk\, Cam Lawlor-Forsyth will discuss the\ncombination of
observations and simulations as a powerful tool in\nunderstanding galaxy e
 volution.
