DESCRIPTION:Emily Deibert is a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at the Universit
 y of\nWaterloo\, where her research focuses on characterizing the atmosphe
 res\nof ultra-hot Jupiters and other exoplanets. Prior to starting at\nWat
 erloo\, Emily was a Gemini Science Fellow and NSERC Postdoctoral\nFellow a
 t the Gemini South Observatory in La Serena\, Chile\, where she\nworked as
  a member of the instrument science team for the\nobservatory's new high-r
 esolution optical spectrograph\, GHOST. Emily\ncompleted a PhD in Astronom
 y &amp; Astrophysics\, and an undergraduate\ndegree in Astronomy\, English\, a
 nd Mathematics\, from the University of\nToronto's St George campus.
