SUMMARY:McNamara@65: Understanding Feedback in Galaxies and Clusters
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:This workshop aims to summarise and expand our knowledge of AGN
\nfeedback\, and celebrate Brian McNamara's landmark achievements in our\n
field. More than twenty experts in the field will speak about the hot\ntop
ics and future directions of AGN feedback in clusters and galaxies.

SUMMARY:50 years of Horndeski Gravity: Exploring modified gravity
CLASS:PUBLIC
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce a landmark conference that plans to
delve\ninto the forefront of research on modified theories of gravity and\
nbrings together leading experts from different disciplines\, including\no
 bservational astrophysicists\, numerical relativists\, cosmologists and\nm
athematical physicists to explore the present status of modified\ntheories
of gravity and envision their future theoretical development\nand implica
tions for observations.\n\nThis conference is also timed to coincide with
the 50th anniversary of\npioneering work in this area carried out by Grego
ry Horndeski in the\nWaterloo Mathematical Physics Community. Hosted joint
ly by Perimeter\nInstitute and the University of Waterloo\, this conferenc
e will serve\nas a forum for researchers from different disciplines to exc
hange\nideas at the cuttingnedge of gravitational physics.
