Information session on the CIHR BME Peer-review Committee

Monday, March 28, 2022 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

Abstract

The purpose of this session is to give potential applicants to the Biomedical Engineering Peer-review committee of CIHR Project Grant program (BME) an opportunity to hear first-hand about the committee ‘culture’: what aspects are generally well-received by reviewers in BME, what factors are considered more important than others, how the committee’s mandate is interpreted, what types of proposals are transferred to or from other committees. Dr. Doug Hamilton from Western University is the former Chair of BME and will be available to make comments on these issues and to interact with potential applicants on their questions. If successful, this format will be repeated with other Project committees in the future.
