Dustin Sigurdson was awarded the Keith Winterhalder Undergraduate Travel Awards to present a poster presentation entitled "Optimizing an efficient regeneration protocol for thidiazuron-derived shoots of Bienertia sinuspersici, a single-cell C4 terrestrial plant" at the Canadian Botanical Association 50th Annual Meeting in Montreal from June 15th - 18th. Dustin also received an honorable mention for the Iain and Sylvia Taylor Award for the best student poster presented at this meeting.
Applicants should possess disciplinary expertise ideally including one or more aspects of microbial ecology, biogeochemistry, community or ecosystem dynamics, or water distribution and treatment systems. This position is intended to support strategic teaching and research objectives of the Department of Biology and the University of Waterloo. The incumbent will have access to internal infrastructure, including an aquatics facility, the Water Institute, and the Environmental Isotopes Laboratory.
