Waterloo Residences acknowledges that we live and work on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. The University of Waterloo is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations that includes ten kilometers on each side of the Grand River.
If you think you'd enjoy being part of a small, close-knit group where the goal is to build and foster a fun and supportive community, then you may find that a college residence is the right place for you. All four college residences are smaller than Campus Housing, which means you'll get to know everyone quickly!
- Smaller communities with rooms for approximately 200-350 students each
- Most spaces for first-year students are in traditional-style rooms
- All four colleges have all-inclusive meal plans rather than the declining-debit WatCard dollars used by Campus Housing
The University College Residences are independent but affiliated with the larger UWaterloo campus. Each University College is a smaller community with its own character and distinctive programs where you can get involved and contribute. You are encouraged to check out each website and arrange a visit to see for yourself.
