Health Promotion and Evaluation Specialist
Melissa joined the University of Waterloo in 2019, after working in public health for the past 10 years. As a Health Promotion and Evaluation Specialist in Campus Wellness, Melissa is currently working with campus partners to mobilize the Okanagan Charter into action through her role coordinating the Wellness Collaborative Advisory Committee and Community of Practice. Melissa is passionate about working with diverse stakeholders to work towards a common goal by sharing her expertise in population health assessment, community and partnership development, as well as planning and evaluating evidence-based health promotion strategies. As a graduate from the MSc program in Health Studies and Gerontology at the University of Waterloo, Melissa is thrilled to apart of the UWaterloo community again.
One of Melissa’s favourite spots on campus is the St. Jerome’s courtyard. In her free time, Melissa is busy navigating her way through the joys of parenting two children, working out at the PAC/CIF, and expanding her musical repertoire with ukulele lessons.
