UWaterloo Canada Day Celebration

2017 is a year of many milestones. Join us as we celebrate 60 years of innovation and Canada's 150th anniversary of Confederation on Saturday, July 1, 2017!

Each year, the University of Waterloo and our Federation of Students thank our community for its partnership and mutual support by hosting Waterloo Region's flagship Canada Day Celebration.

This year's celebration will be bigger than ever as we celebrate an important milestone for our country: Canada's 150th anniversary of Confederation. Offering entertainment for all ages, including a range of family activities, delicious festival food and drinks, live performances by Canadian talent, and a spectacular fireworks display, you won't want to miss our 2017 event.

Founded on July 1, 1957, the University of Waterloo will proudly celebrate 60 years of innovation in 2017. Our community has lots to be excited about. Check out photos and highlights from Canada's 149th birthday party at Columbia Lake Fields to get a glimpse into what's in store for 2017.

We look forward to hosting you at the region's largest Canada Day celebration!
