In order to build a trend line of wellbeing data over time, it is hoped that a collaborative of interested organizations in communities will engage the CIW to survey a random sample of households every five years. Waterloo Region and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo both conducted their first community wellbeing surveys in 2013 and 2014, respectively. In 2018 and 2019, both communities conducted their second survey, creating the opportunity to analyze trends in wellbeing data over the span of five years. These analyses allow the community to draw comparisons in their data in order to continue to make changes that reflect the current needs of residents.
