Propel study highlights need for culturally-appropriate smoking prevention policies for Aboriginal youth

From the Canadian Medical Association Journal news release: 

Aboriginal-youth living off-reserve in Canada use tobacco, alcohol and drugs significantly more than non-Aboriginal youth and have higher health risks, according to an article in CMAJ (Canadian Medical Association Journal).

New edition of Tobacco Use Patterns and Trends report available

The second annual Tobacco Use in Canada: Patterns and Trends report has been released, updating the previous edition with current data, including the 2008-09 Youth Smoking Survey (YSS) and the 2009 wave of the ​Canadian Tobacco Use Monitoring Survey (CTUMS). The report pulls together existing data to create a “big picture” overview of tobacco use patterns and trends in Canada.
