OTTAWA, Aug. 1, 2015 /CNW/ - The Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Health, today announced further steps to protect Canadian youth from dangerous drugs. The regulatory amendments are to further restrict Salvia divinorum (also known as salvia), and its preparations and derivatives. The regulations will be published in Canada Gazette, Part II on August 12, 2015.

Binge drinking growing problem among Island teens

A new report says alcohol is the most prevalent drug among students in this province.

The Prince Edward Island Student Drug Use Report released last week by the provincial government reveals that alcohol has been the predominant drug of choice for P.E.I. teens over the last nine years and continues to be the No. 1 drug used by youth in the province.
