Thursday, February 25, 2021 — 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST

This is a chance to practice for your Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) with a live simulation. You will rotate through stations and answer interview questions including current events, ethics, critical thinking, health topics, collaboration and personal reflection. Some stations will have an interviewer; others will simulate recorded online interviews with an individual response. Following the simulation, we will debrief the experience, discussing observations about the process, anxiety management and strategies for a live or recorded interview.

Thursday, February 25, 2021 — 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST

Whether you are considering a career in industry or academia, having a broad skill set and being able to recognize the value of your skills is important for success.  Attend this workshop to explore the skills you already have and to create an action plan for skill development during your graduate studies.

*Note, this workshop has significant overlap with the Foundations workshop for the Professional Skills Foundations (PSF) program and is recommended for students who are not participating in the PSF program.

When your career interests are congruent with your work, you are more likely to be satisfied, motivated and successful in your career. Discover what your key interest motivators are and how these can help you identify careers that align with these interests. Note: Registrants will be emailed a booklet to complete prior to the workshop. Please complete all activities in the booklet before attending the session!

NOTE: There is a student materials charge of $15 payable at the Centre for Career Action prior to the session; Alumni fee is $27.  Once you have registered and paid, you will be given information on how to complete the MBTI assessment online. The assessment must be completed at least 2 business days prior to the workshop.
