The Centre for Career Action acknowledges that our work is on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our institution is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. The active work by the University of Waterloo toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Indigenous Initiatives Office.
In the last few months, opportunities for new positions and advancement have disappeared or have been delayed. We are currently living in the “Waiting Place” described by Dr. Seuss in the inspirational book, Oh the Places You’ll Go. In this workshop, you will learn tips to stay positive and build your happiness while taking actions to grow and develop your career
