GPS: Graduate Professional Skills

  • GPS (Graduate Professional Skills) is a series of 18 free online courses to benefit graduate (Master’s and PhD) students interested in a career in academia, business, government, or non-profit.
  • Topics include: how to write a resume, how to conduct a job search, the art of entrepreneurship, teaching and learning, and academic and professional communications
  • Materials were developed by the Ontario Consortium for Graduate Professional Skills training with the help of funding from the Ontario government. The seven universities that are part of the Consortium are: McMaster University, Queen’s University, University of Guelph, University of Ottawa, University of Toronto, University of Waterloo, and Western University
