The Tatham Centre is open with front-desk support. Our staff will follow all safety guidelines and students are expected to adhere to these guidelines to access all in-person services.

The Centre for Career Action is offering a hybrid of services for spring 2022. Here is a full list of services and how they are currently offered:

Front Desk

The Client Support Team provides support weekdays from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. ET, via email, live chat, phone, or in-person.

Co-op Consults

Virtually and in-person

Co-op consults are available to support pre-first work term co-op students virtually and in-person on a first-come-first-served basis.

Students can access support Wednesday to Friday* from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET, with in-person consults offered from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

*co-op consults not available August 22-September 2, 2022.

Appointments

Virtually and in-person

Appointments are available both virtually and in-person for undergraduate students, graduate students and postdocs. Virtual appointments are available for alumni and employees. These include résumé, cover letter, CV, further education, interview, work search, online presence and career planning appointments.

Same-day drop-ins

All same-day drop-ins are virtual throughout the spring term.

All workshops, conferences and events will be virtual throughout the spring term. 

Interview space In-person Private rooms are available in the Tatham Centre for those who need access to a quiet space to conduct their virtual interviews. To book a room, submit a "Request room in TC for remote interview" form on WaterlooWorks.
Private office space for virtual appointments, same day drop-ins and co-op consults In-person

Private office spaces are available in the Tatham Centre on a walk-in basis to attend virtual CCA drop-ins, co-op consults and appointments. Office space can be pre-booked through email, live chat or phone, as well as a walk-in basis at the CCA front desk.

Important safety guidelines

Please carefully read all safety guidelines before visiting the Tatham Centre. We take the health and safety of our students, staff and faculty seriously and have protocols in place to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

  • All in-person appointments and co-op consults will be in the Tatham Centre. Please check in at the CCA front desk upon arrival.
  • If you are feeling unwell, please cancel your appointment. Our Clent Support Team is available to assist you with rebooking at a later date. Call 519-888-4047 or send a live chat message
  • Due to COVID-19, please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. 
  • Face coverings will continue to be mandatory in all common areas, classrooms, laboratories, and in work areas where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
  • Masks must be worn while in the Tatham Centre when 2 m of distance can’t be maintained and during your in-person appointment. 
  • Please sanitize your hands upon arrival at the Tatham Centre and during your visit. Complimentary hand sanitizer is available throughout the building. 
  • Where possible, please maintain 2 m of distance.  

Please do not bring a hard copy of your résumé, cover letter or CV with you to your appointment. We encourage you to bring a laptop to facilitate digital sharing during the appointment. If you don’t have access to a laptop, please contact us at careers@uwaterloo.ca for further options.
