In our final 2018 issue of CEWIL Research Matters, we're showcasing the latest International Journal of Work-Integrated Learning (IJWIL) articles. Special thanks to Anna Maria Russo (Program Manager, Master of Accounting & Finance, UTSC) and Earl Anderson (Co-op Coordinator, BCIT) for their insights on the featured articles.
The Co-operative Education Self-Study Guide developed by the Waterloo Co-op Accessibility Team (WatCAT) is a comprehensive and dynamic resource that is in continual development based on feedback, tools and latest resources related to co-operative education, career services, or disability supports.
In collaboration with Norah McRae (Associate Provost, Co-operative and Experiential Education), WatCACE is happy to announce the release of the WIL Quality Framework White Paper. The goal is to inspire those responsible for WIL programs to identify potential gaps in providing quality WIL, as well as provide a list of potential outcomes and measures that can be used to evaluate WIL programs.
In this month's issue of Co-op Research Matters (PDF), we feature research surrounding critical reflection for workplace readiness and employer retention. We're so happy to have our very own co-op student, Laura Jackson (Research Assistant, WatCACE), and fellow colleague, Peggy Eichinger (Regional Manager, West, Co-operative Education), contribute to this month's newsletter.
