The Volume 20, Issue 2 of the International Journal of Work-Integrated Learning (IJWIL) is now available online. One of the articles on the professional development needs of the international work-integrated learning community features University of Waterloo's very own Norah McRae (Associate Provost, Co-operative and Experiential Education) as one of the many international co-authors.
In our first CEWIL Research Matters of 2019, we are featuring articles from the 2018 International Journal of Work Integrated Learning publication. We would like to extend special thanks to our colleagues from the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus, David Fenton and Arjuna Thaskaran, for their contributions this month.
In this month's issue of Co-op Research Matters (PDF), we feature research surrounding critical reflection for workplace readiness and employer retention. We're so happy to have our very own co-op student, Laura Jackson (Research Assistant, WatCACE), and fellow colleague, Peggy Eichinger (Regional Manager, West, Co-operative Education), contribute to this month's newsletter.
WatCACE has teamed up with the Waterloo Co-op Accessibility Team (WatCAT) to share their curated resources for co-operative education programs with focus on enhancing accessibility and support for all students.
Back in December 2017, WatCACE surveyed 455 supervisors, recruiters and executives to better understand the dynamics of “talent management” from the perspective of organizations that hire work-integrated learning (WIL) students.
