"The Impact of Technology on Ethics, Professionalism and Judgment in Accounting"

The Centre for Accounting Ethics and CPA Canada in colaboration with University of Waterloo Centre for Information Integrity and Information Systems Assuranceare (UWCISA) and the Journal for Business Ethics are proud to bring together thought leaders from academia and business to explore and discuss the influence of technology on all aspects of the accounting profession and its practice. The Thematic Symposium seeks to understand and highlight the ethical consequences of technology on the accounting profession, accounting professionalism and recipients and users of all accounting services. This event will provide an opportunity to interact and share ideas throughout the symposium.

CPD:  
Starting January 1, 2019 CPA Ontario began requiring four-hour professional ethics education.  Members must complete a mandatory minimum of four verifiable hours in professional ethics during each rolling three-calendar year period 2019-2021.  This symposium will provide you with up to nine verifiable Continuing Professional Development hours all of which meet the new ethics requirement.
