Research Project 'German as a heritage language in Canada' needs participants for an online survey

After several waves of German immigration to Canada, German Canadians form one of the country’s largest ethnic groups today. The research project “German as a heritage language in Canada”, carried out at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, thus aims to measure German-language vitality within the group and analyze the level of language maintenance.

One part of the project is an online survey of any 18+ Canadian residents, who consider themselves to be of German origin (regardless of citizenship, length of residence in Canada and German-language proficiency).
