Assessing and Improving Your Teaching (CTE2160)

Wednesday, January 22, 2020 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm EST (GMT -05:00)
Location: MC 2036
Facilitator:Faiza Omar (CTE)

Workshop description

Successful teachers make it a priority to critically reflect on their teaching by tapping into the many evaluation tools available to us. In this workshop, we'll explore how teaching assistants can get evaluations of their teaching from supervisors, peers, students, and others. We'll talk about whom to ask for feedback, when to ask, and how. You'll work in groups to analyze both formal and informal feedback tools, discuss how to incorporate them into your teaching, and consider how to interpret and make use of evaluations you receive.

Registration

  • CTE has a new registration system called GoSignMeUp. Before you can register for a workshop, you need to create an account (one time only). Once you’ve created an account, you can register for this workshop.
  • Participants will receive an attendance credit toward the Fundamentals program if they arrive on time and stay until the end of the event.

Cancellations

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
