Workshop description

This interactive workshop will provide teaching assistants with the techniques and confidence to effectively deliver an engaging lesson in the classroom. Topics covered in this workshop include: (i) methods for structuring your delivery, (ii) developing visual aids, (ii) strategies for preparation, (iv) dealing with nerves and anxiety and (iv) tips for engaging your students throughout the lesson.

Registration

  • Participants will receive an attendance credit towards the Fundamentals program if they arrive on time and stay until the end of the event.
  • We recommend taking this workshop before your first microteaching session.
  • Limited to 15.

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please notify us 24 hours in advance (at cte-grad@uwaterloo.ca ) so that we can give your spot to someone else.
