Description
As instructors, we often consider what constitutes effective teaching. But in this module, we’ll return to the perspective of learners. We’ll ask: What constitutes effective learning? How does learning occur? What impacts the learning process? In response to these questions, we’ll reflect on our current conceptions of learning and gain insights from current research on student learning and its practical implications for teaching. In this module we’ll develop the vocabulary for describing learning in different disciplines and reflect on research-based teaching strategies that promote effective learning.

This online module consists of:
- a set of asynchronous, self-paced tasks in LEARN, that must be completed between May 10 - May 23, 2021.
