Monday, January 27, 2020 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm EST (GMT -05:00)
Location: MC 2036
Facilitator: Xing Su (CTE)

Workshop description

Effective communication is an important skill for all Teaching Assistants (TAs). In this workshop, you will have an opportunity to identify your communication strengths and areas for development. We will discuss common challenges to effective communication that are encountered by TAs, and help you select appropriate strategies to address these challenges in the classroom.

Registration

  • CTE has a new registration system called GoSignMeUp. Before you can register for a workshop, you need to create an account (one time only). Once you’ve created an account, you can register for this workshop.
  • Participants will receive an attendance credit towards the Fundamentals program if they arrive on time and stay until the end of the event.

Cancellations

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
