Group/Peer Evaluation Experiences and Best Practices: Collaboration and Teamwork Community of Practice (CTE7001)

Friday, February 28, 2020 10:00 am - 11:30 am EST (GMT -05:00)

Facilitators: Katie Plaisance (Knowledge Integration), and Scott Anderson (Centre for Teaching Excellence)

Description

In this session of the Collaboration and Teamwork Community of Practice we will explore group/peer evaluation (i.e. group members evaluating each other about their group contributions to a group project or activity).

Marc Hurwitz (Conrad School for Entrepreneurship and Business) and D'Arcy Delamere (School of Accounting and Finance) have kindly agreed to share their experiences with group evaluation. We hope to have a conversation to share experiences and best practices around group evaluation (what has worked; what hasn't worked; what criteria you use; logistics).

The Collaboration and Teamwork Community of Practice is co-organized by the Department of Knowledge Integration and Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE). The purpose of the community of practice is to provide an opportunity for instructors - as well as those who study collaboration and teamwork -- to connect with their peers to share examples, experiences, ideas, resources and best practices around collaboration, teamwork and group work in education. This is the third meeting of this community of practice (CoP).

If you would like more information or have any questions about the Collaboration and Teamwork Community of Practice, please contact Scott Anderson (sjanderson@uwaterloo.ca) or email uwcollaborates@uwaterloo.ca.
