Workshop description
Teaching online can present some interesting challenges but the Centre for Extended Learning is here to help you! CEL works with all Waterloo faculties to help instructors design, deliver and maintain fully online credit courses and programs. When you register for this session, you’ll receive a survey two weeks before the session, which is your opportunity to describe some of the most pressing challenges you face teaching in a fully online context. In this interactive workshop, we will discuss your challenges and describe potential instructional strategies for overcoming them. Instructors who have never taught a fully online course – but who might be interested in doing so in the future – are also welcome to attend!
Learning outcomes:
After the session, participants will be able to:
- describe the basics of how various learning technologies can be used to support learning;
- identify online and human resources to learn more about a specific learning technology or to find help in implementing it.
