Exploring the Assessment Cycle in PebblePad: An introduction to ATLAS (CTE 7512)
Audience: instructors who have completed the “Introduction to PebblePlus" workshop (CTE7527)
This is an online workshop designed to introduce instructors to ATLAS, the assessment side of PebblePad. ATLAS facilitates provision of formative and summative assessment through self and peer review, qualitative feedback statements, rubrics, feedback templates, and grades. Feedback is most effective when it can be used to help students improve future iterations of their work. PebblePad also includes features that allow external assessors to comment and provide feedback on student work.
The workshop consists of an asynchronous and a synchronous component. In preparation for the synchronous session, participants will receive a link to the “Introduction to ATLAS Workshop Guide" containing activities to be completed prior to the scheduled synchronous session. These activities take the participants through the assessment cycle - setting up assignments, sharing PebblePad templates and workbooks with your students, and grading the assignments.
During the synchronous session, we'll review the workflow process for setting up assignments and providing grades and feedback, discuss why certain setups are preferred in certain situations, share some helpful tips, explore how PebblePad can be used in your courses or program, and consider next steps for implementing PebblePad. The synchronous session will take place in the Virtual Classroom in LEARN.
Registration
Registration required (if this is your first time using GoSignMeUp, you will need to set up your account first). If you have changed roles at the University (e.g., graduate student to faculty) please updateyour "Participant Profile" in your GoSignMeUp account.
Cancellations
Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
