Description
Möbius lets instructors build interactive online content for STEM courses. Whether for use with an online or face-to-face course, Möbius offers:
- a math-smart quiz engine for STEM fields
- questions that can adapt to student skill-levels
- interactive content with embedded "how-did-I-do" and "try-again" questions
- built-in editor for recording narrated slideshows
- a gradebook where students find grades and question feedback
- instructors see quiz and question statistics
- integration with UWaterloo's LEARN LMS for no-login access and automatic grade return
Möbius is also used for the university's Open Courseware project offering free online courses in Mathematics, Science and Engineering. For a taste of Möbius, see

During this session, participants will hear about the different benefits of Möbius as used in courses at UWaterloo, see demonstrations of its main features, receive a Möbius account, and have time to start exploring the tool on their own with support readily available to answer questions.

Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)
Learning Outcomes: after the session, participants will be able to:
- describe the main uses and features of Möbius
- access Möbius and understand the terminology/navigation enough to start building a lesson
- access resources and support personnel for assistance
Registration
Registration is required. CTE has a new registration system called GoSignMeUp. Before you can register for a workshop, you need to create an account (one time only). Once you've created an account, you can register for this workshop.
Cancellations
Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
