Möbius lets instructors build interactive online content for STEM courses.  Whether for use with an online or face-to-face course, Möbius offers:

  • a math-smart quiz engine for STEM fields
  • questions that can adapt to student skill-levels
  • interactive content with embedded "how-did-I-do" and "try-again" questions
  • built-in editor for recording narrated slideshows
  • a gradebook where students find grades and question feedback
  • instructors see quiz and question statistics
  • integration with UWaterloo's LEARN LMS for no-login access and automatic grade return

Möbius is also used for the university's Open Courseware project offering free online courses in Mathematics, Science and Engineering.  For a taste of Möbius, see

  • open.math.uwaterloo.ca
  • open.science.uwaterloo.ca

During this session, participants will hear about the different benefits of Möbius as used in courses at UWaterloo, see demonstrations of its main features, receive a Möbius account, and have time to start exploring the tool on their own with support readily available to answer questions.

Please bring a laptop or tablet for this workshop.
