LEARN for TAs (CTE6550)

Thursday, January 16, 2020 9:30 am - 11:30 am EST (GMT -05:00)

Facilitator: Scott Anderson(Centre for Teaching Excellence)
Location: MC 2036

Description

This two hour hands-on workshop will introduce TAs to LEARN (from Desire2Learn), our course management system for presenting course activities and resources in on-campus and fully online courses. By the end of this session, TAs will be able to use the D2L environment to communicate with students, have basic knowledge of the tools available within D2L, and enter grades. TAs should be enrolled in the course they will be working in with the appropriate permissions, and should know the sorts of tasks that they will be asked to complete in that course to make best use of their time in the session.

Registration

Registration is required. CTE has a new registration system called GoSignMeUp. Before you can register for a workshop, you need to create an account (one time only). Once you've created an account, you can register for the workshop

Cancellations

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.

Accessibility

The University of Waterloo is committed to achieving barrier-free accessibility for persons with disabilities who are studying, working, or visiting at Waterloo.
