This opening session of Educational Technologies Week comprises three segments:
- Donna Ellis (Director of CTE), Aldo Caputo (Director of CEL), and Andrea Chappell (Director of ITMS) will share their perspectives on the “journey” of teaching and learning at Waterloo over the past twelve months: the highlights, challenges, and noteworthy adaptations precipitated by the pandemic and the resultant pivot to remote teaching and learning. (Approximately 20 minutes)
- Nadine Ibrahim (Civil and Environmental Engineering), Zara Rafferty (Recreation and Leisure Studies), Kieran Bonner (Sociology and Legal Studies), and Anton Mosunov (Mathematics) will share new strategies or technologies that they’ve deployed in response to the constraints of remote teaching and learning, but which were so successful they might continue to employ them even when we return to campus. (Approximately 40 minutes)
- A Q & A segment. (Approximately 20 minutes).

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
