Teaching Dossier Write-In (CTE496)

Thursday, February 16, 2017 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

Location: EV1 241

Description: Are you a graduate student or post-doc working on your teaching dossier for the Certificate in University Teaching (CUT) or for a job application? If you’re having trouble finding time to sit down and work on your dossier, we have a solution for you! Join the CTE staff and a consultant from the Writing Centre for directed writing time to draft, revise, or complete your dossier. This workshop is intended for those who are already familiar with the components of a teaching dossier—we will not be providing instruction. Bring your laptop, any materials you’ve already written and compiled, and your specific questions. We’ll provide answers to your questions, structure for your writing time, and coffee and tea!

Facilitator: Stephanie White, CTE and Nadine Fladd, Writing Centre

Notes:

  • Please complete the Teaching Dossiers module on MyGradSkills.ca in advance of this write-in.
  • Consultants will be on hand to answer specific questions about your teaching dossier, though not to give you general feedback on your dossier as whole.

    • For feedback on your entire teaching dossier, you can schedule an appointment with Stephanie White.
    • For feedback on research statements, you can make an appointment with the Writing Centre.
    • For feedback on cover letters and CVs, you can make an appointment with the Centre for Career Action.

  • This session does not count towards Fundamentals of University Teaching credit.
